Blanco: "I knew that I had to score"
Álex Blanco scored his first official goal for Valencia CF in the win over Granada CF, and the delighted midfielder commented on the achievement in conversation with VCF Media.
"I'm very happy. I think that it's a goal that means a lot to me, and that is going to give me confidence for the remaining games, in which we have to be very united and win," he said after the final whistle.
"It was a counterattack. I don't know if was a foul or not. I was looking at the goal. I got to the ball and it went in. I'm very happy. The first attempt was kept out well, but I knew that I had to score today."

"It's different without the fans here, but I thought about everybody who means a lot to me: My family and my friends who are always there for me. This goal is for them."
The goalscorer concluded by saying that: "At home we have to be as strong as possible. It was important to go into the international break with these three points, which give us calm and confidence. This will serve us very well for the remaining games."
